When most people think about a lease, they see it as a piece of paper — a list of rules, rent due dates, and signatures at the bottom. But for me, it’s more than that. Every lease represents a relationship, a mutual understanding between people who care about the space they share.

As a property manager and broker in Mammoth Lakes, I’ve read and written more leases than I can count. But every one of them tells its own story. Behind each address is a family settling into their first winter in the mountains, a couple making a fresh start, or someone finding a little peace in a new town.

Starting a new business is equal parts exciting, terrifying, and incredibly rewarding — and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Since launching JM Properties, it’s been a whirlwind of new clients, learning curves, problem-solving (lots of that), and truly meaningful connections. What started as a leap of faith has quickly turned into something I’m really proud of. I’ve loved helping property owners find great tenants, keeping rentals in top shape, and being a hands-on, local resource for everything from leasing to maintenance and beyond.
